a little etsy for you

Over the past few months, my design business has really grown, and I'm so privileged to have worked with so many great people. Each new job was and will continue to be an exciting new experience and fun challenge. I've fallen more in love with this form of art, and I already know I want to continue to do this for a long, long time.

So I've added something new to the shop, and it's for all you etsy sellers out there:

It's hard to make your etsy shop look unique and stand out. My goal is to do that! Just like when I see a nice blog design, when I see a nice etsy banner I'm more inclined to check out the shop.

quick rambles

As you guys may notice, a slight change has occurred involving the appearance of the little blog. Not a huge one, because I really enjoyed the colors and fonts of the previous design. But not only has "beautiful" undergone a change, Simply You Designs has experienced a full switcheroo!

I'm so satisfied and happy with my brand now. Because it really is a brand. The sites coordinate nicely (I think) and now I feel "beautiful" is official. Also, it's a nice way to welcome the new month. (School is almost upon us, I start in three weeks!)

bucket list || june

June. Just the name of this magical month gives you pleasant thoughts of watermelon, wiffleball games and summer. During June I want to have several "goals" I want to meet. Here they are:

take at least five photos a day // eat watermelon like nobody's business // cartwheel across the yard in the morning dew // dance under the street lights // play rundown too much // try a new baking recipe ever week // sketch a portrait every day // go on more photo shoots // push myself out of my comfort zone when I'm graphic designing // journal every night // make someone a gift for no reason // laugh a lot

As I complete these, I'll update you guys on what I've done and what I have left. What's on your bucket list for June?

my {beautiful} nutty life || a new beginning

Hello faithful friends, followers, and readers! Yes, it's finally here: my blog re-launch. You may be thinking "um, Hannah, you've just changed your design, there's nothing really different about your blog." You. are. incorrect!
Lately I've been feeling like the quality of my posts has been lacking. A lot. I feel like I make posts just to post something. I haven't been inspired. And I hate that feeling. So from now until forever, I'm going to let the inspiration flow. I'm going to take photos of everyday life, I'm going to dig deeper into the beauty world, and I'm going to write, write, write.

It feels refreshing to think I can start over, but with more experience. And I'm ready to face the fact that I am capable of writing more. Because I do want to write more, I love writing. I guess I just needed a new beginning to find my love for it :)

life as of late No. 2

what? no, I wasn't standing on the table to get these photos. Psh, what are you talking about?

this has been my makeup look for the past week. I'm seriously in love, and it only takes about five minutes! (you know I love a makeup look when I where it over three days in a row ;])

switching it up for fall

notice a change? If not, you need to get your eyes checked ;) yes, the new design is installed! I wanted some warmer colors for fall, but they seem a little cool, don't you think? Should the colors be more orange-y? I'd love your opinions!
