makeup tutorial: snow queen

*edit* please vote on the poll in the sidebar!!
I'm telling you, it's been waaay too long since I've done one of these! I'm gonna try to start them strong again, but on the other hand, I've only been posting like, once a week. Yeah, we're gonna have to change that ;)
But let's get into the tutorial (by the way, I totally suggest that people with brown and blue eyes try this out, I think the colors in it will really make those specific eye colors pop ;]) :

Snow Queen
Products used:
step 1: prime your lids

step 2: sweep a light brown shadow over your lid. This step is actually optional, but since this look is mostly cool-toned colors I wanted to give it a warm base. It worked well for me because my skin undertones are more yellow-ish

step 3: dust a white shimmery shadow all over the lid.

step 4: apply a lilac-plum color to the outer third of your lids

step 5: sweep a darkish gray color to your outer corner+crease

step 6: apply an extremely dark blue to your very outer corner

step 7: with a light hand, trace a thin line of black liquid liner on the outer half of your eye. You can add a small wing if you want to. This gives the illusion of having thicker, fuller lashes.

step 8: smudge a black liner into your lower lashes and bring a little onto your waterline

step 9: bring out your favorite black mascara and apply several coats on you top lashes. With the excess on the brush, put a little on your lower lashes

finished!
Sorry for not posting an over-all face look, but I didn't have any time. I literally had to do my makeup and run out the door. My family had it's yearly reunion, where we celebrate Serbian Christmas.
My dad's side of the family is mostly Serbian, so it's always nice to get together every year and have fun with cousins we barely know ;)

Anywho, I hope you guys enjoyed this look and will find it useful. Talk to you later!!

p.s I've been trying out several new products, including the covergirl liquiline blast eyeliner. Would you like me to do a review of any products mentioned in my tutorials? If you want to see my past tutorials to check if I've used a certain product, here's the archives. Or, email me to ask!

  6. I really like the super shimmery eyeshadow! Great look. I would also love a review on the eyeliner. Eyeliner kind of scares me (as in I know I would poke my eyeball out if I used it ;)), but I love the way it looks!

  9. This is so beautiful. I love it.

Ok, so I have a horrible thing to admit. I haven't tried to replicate your makeup tutorials until a couple days ago. I have read, admired, ooh-ed and aah-ed over all your makeup tutorials, but when it came to trying them, I bowed out, being too scared.

But the other day, I knew I had to try something different. So, I took my little ipod touch into the bathroom, went on your website and found a tutorial of yours. Since I didn't have very many colours I had to improvise, but in the end I LOVED IT!!!!

Thank you, for inspiring me. Now I eagerly await your makeup tutorials for more exciting makeup experiences. ;)
