{Meet the photographer}
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I live in a small town by the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. It is the perfect location for me as it is an hour from the big city and a hour from the beach. The land is very flat here and littered with farm animals, produce stands and antique stores.
I stay busy with four kids and working as the HR Manager for my family originated business turned Corporate in 2007.

How long have you been interested in photography?
I have been interested in photography since I took my first film class in college.
My focus in college was actually metalsmithing so I did not actively pursue photography until 2007. During this time I was going through a lot of changes in my life so photography became another creative outlet.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Photography gives me the chance to slow down and look more closely at the small things in life, the things that we pass by everyday without a second thought. I get my inspiration from merely waking up in the morning. For instance, the farmhouses I photograph are part of my daily commute to work. Most people would pass by those houses without a second thought, but for me the farmhouses invoke memories of the past. I am hopelessly nostalgic so often I try to imagine what the families were like and how they lived.
What other things do you enjoy doing?
I enjoy spending time with my family, which is quite large with big hearts and mouths to match. You will most often find me hanging out in my parents backyard watching the kids run around while sipping on some wine, enjoying good food and talking about nothing important. All with my camera in hand of course!
