re-launch partaaay!! || a photo challenge

*UPDATE* I pushed back the entry deadline to May 27th, because there were very few entries. I'm hoping to gain some more in the next week!!

So, as most of you know, I just re-launched the old bloggity-blog. I thought I had to celebrate someway, and to thanks all of you guys for being amazing followers and friends. SO, I'm hosting a photo challenge!!!
I'll bet you're all wondering what the theme is, right?

Black and white portraits.
I love portraits in general, but black and white portraits seem to capture something no other photo can. An essence of beauty, of silence, of whimsy, all deliciously wrapped up together in one image. I could stare at black and white portraits for hours and hours, just soaking in all the details.
So impress me dah-lings! Make me want to keep going back to your photo over and over again.
Unfortunately, there have to be rules, but as rules go, they're pretty basic:

1. Your photo must be black and white and must have a face in it in order for it to be eligible for this challenge (no dip Sherlock)
2. ONE photo per person please! (I don't care if there are multiple photos in the post, but you can only enter one
3. The photo challenge button must be in your post underneath the photo you're entering
4. Keep the photos appropriate ;)
5. Have truckloads of fun!

But you didn't think the winner wouldn't get a prize did you? No, of course not. I'm waaay to awesome to let that slip ;)

{a photo} challenge | a photo of your favorite place

       When I saw the theme for this photo challenge, I knew I had a couple options. For me, a favorite place is wherever my family is, but one of my favorite places that i could go anytime, whether it be alone or with my whole family, is this:

I could just stare at this view all day and discover something new about it every minute.
This is a hawk-watch up by our mountain house. People generally go up there to watch hawks, (hence the name) and though we like to do that, its just very refreshing to see the whole world spread out ahead of you for miles around.
It makes you remember how lucky you are and just how beautiful everything is.

Aunt news, follower update and random stuff :)

Saturday. Saturday I become responsible. Saturday I am a woman. (*wink*) Saturday I'm going to my great aunt's to spend a week there! I can't wait!! (Does a responsible woman jump up and down and do a happy dance when they're excited about something?;)
One whole week of peace and quiet. Where I'm going (I am not going to tell you where for privacy reasons!) is the most peaceful place on earth. It is the most beautiful place on earth. It's where I would want to live if I was an adult.
Like I said, I won't be blogging for a week but its totally worth it :)
I have two amazing cousins there (ages 15 and 9) who are truly the sweetest people on earth.
I am so excited and I think my great aunt is too :)
Ok to change the subject, there is this guy riding around and around the block on a bright blue motorcycle thing. It's quite amusing ;)
To change the subject again I am half way to 50 followers! This summer I started out with 14 and I have 25 now! Whoo hoo! Not to mention I gained 4 in the last 12 hours! Double whoo hoo!

Alrighty, just an update on the photo contest/giveaway! You can only enter one photo and it can be edited :)
For the giveaway you can have up to 10 entries if you do everything your required to do.
Some people were a bit confused. I can't believe I didn't mention all these thing in the first post :P

I'm back and photos are soon to come, but……

Since I only have one entry for both the photo contest and the giveaway I am moving the deadline back 4 days. If no one else enters then the two people who entered will get all the prizes. The new deadline is July 29. The winners will be announced within the two days following.
