marin+holiday lights // a winter shoot

Amidst the strands of falling lights, difficulty with reflectors, and Marin and I chatting away about anything and everything, I managed to snap a few photos.
Marin is a total natural. This shoot was one of my very favorites because I got to experiment with "studio" lighting. This is the first time I've attempted to shoot indoors, and you can decide for yourself if it was a success. I tried out different reflectors and lighting angles, and of course strung some holiday lights for a little bokeh effect.

one lovely december day // the z family

One lovely December day, I was picked up by Mrs. Z with my camera bag slung around my shoulder, off to shoot her family.

The Z family is pretty adorable. Don't you agree?

 

 The shoot didn't last long, what with there being three little ones all under the age of 5, but it was so much fun. Which shot is your favorite?

the girl named chynna // portraits

I met Chynna last year around January. It was a new semester, and she was put into almost all of my classes. I am so glad I met this girl. She is funny, sweet, gorgeous (as you will soon see) and an all-around trustworthy friend. Here are her portraits. We got together on Sunday to shoot them, and I rather like the way they turned out :)
